A New Home

To my dearest readers, I have moved to a new place. I hope you'd drop by, comment or just amuse yourself reading my thoughts, rants and just about anything I'd write about. I thank you all for keeping me company.

Group 2

The second batch of 12 disappointed me. A number gave so-so performances with one whom I felt totally disrespected American Idol; while only a few were worthy.

My choices:

Let's see who makes it to the Top 12.

Back To Student Life

Tuesday, February 24, 2009

I just got word from the Dean that I am accepted in their graduate program for school year 2009-2010.

This is certainly a very pleasant surprise for me. But then, as I hang the phone down, my tummy turned while thinking how it would be like to be sitting on a desk for 3 hours and listen intently to a professor with classmates all around you. It may feel like my first day of school at nursery. Ha ha ha....

Enrollment is two months away and this is actually an opportune time since I am still waiting for results from the first university I applied at. Anywhich way, I am excited.

Another Trip

With my aunt's demise before Christmas last year, my Mom has been raring to take a trip to Baguio with every opportunity there is.

This March 2 is my Aunt's supposed 77th birthday. My Mom instantly brought up the topic over the weekend of going up to Pine City this weekend. When I told her that travelling to Baguio for an overnight trip is too tiresome, she even offered the option of taking the bus. (Hmmm, she really is bent on travelling no matter what.)

I scouted around for Victory liner trips and checked out the Deluxe Bus that includes meals and a restroom on board. This comes as well with stewardesses who are at your beck and call. Cool!

The only drawback is the trip schedule available. For a 7 hour land ride, leaving at 11:45 am or 1:15 pm brings you to the city by evening. So one day has been wasted. They do have an 11:45 pm trip and reach Baguio early morning. This is ideal as you get a complete Saturday to roam around, relax and sip coffee while smelling the sweet scent of pine (if you are at Camp John Hay). But knowing my mother, she is too scared to travel at night.

So this leaves us with the usual aircon buses that leave the Manila tereminal by the hour. It will surely be more relaxing for me and I can do a lot of stuff while on the road. Or maybe sleep. Zzzzzzzzzz...............

Not A Minute Has Passed

Friday, February 20, 2009

Ok I can't help myself. I called University 1 if the results have been uploaded at their site.

Then the school staff coldly told me that release and uploading have been moved to March 20 since the Business Department added another exam schedule by early March. And all examinees' results will be collectively deliberated on by the Admissions Committee via ranking as they are limited to a quota for 2009-2010 intakes.

Suddenly my spirits were dampened. I didn't even bother to know what the quota for this year is.

I can only think of one thing to say, "probably they tightly screen to get the cream of the crop, pero ANG ARTE NAMAN NILA!"
